A MAN previously jailed for eight years for his alleged part in a gang supplying drugs into Wales has been acquitted following a retrial.
Wasim Ali, from Harrow Road, Newport, was 29 when he was found guilty of conspiring to supply heroin in December 2015.
He was jailed along with nine others following a police operation into the £5million conspiracy between 2013 and 2014.
At a retrial on Tuesday, the 32-year-old was found not guilty and acquitted of the offence.
