A GRADE II listed former social club in the centre of Newport will be converted into three flats after plans were given the go-ahead.
The planning application will see 37 Stow Hill, formerly the clubhouse of the Old Boys of Newport High School, converted into a four-bedroom flat and a pair of two-bedroom flats.
As the 18th century building is Grade II listed, Newport City Council referred the application to the Welsh Government's heritage service Cadw for determination.
But the organisation said it had no objection and the application was granted.
