AN ASPIRING model is seeking support to achieve her dream of competing in a national competition.

Jersey Harrison, who attends Marshfield Primary School, is a finalist in the Miss Junior Model UK competition and is seeking a local company to sponsor her for the event.

Her family saw the competition entry form online and decided to enter Jersey as she has always wanted to model. She has now made it through to the final of the competition and has to find a sponsor for the event.

“We are looking for a sponsor for £195 and their name will be on the sash that she wears at the final. We have until Friday to find someone. If we don't find someone it's likely she won't be able to go."

Eight-year-old Jersey said: “I’m really excited but a little bit nervous.

Her mum Louise Harrison said: “I always say to my kids ‘Try things out before you dismiss them.’ This is an example of that, I let my kids decide what they want to do I will support them.

“We have never done anything like this before. It’s something she can always look back on.”

“There is no make-up, fake tan and she won’t be dressed up like a doll. It will be a really fun evening out.”

Anyone interested in sponsoring Jersey should email louize1000@hotmail.com.
