YOU have sent us wome great shots of last night's supermoon.
From yesterday afternoon the moon appeared around severn per cent larger and 15 per cent brighter than usual.
The supermoon phenomenon happens when the moon reaches its closest point to Earth.
Curious about the upcoming supermoons? The Moon is nearing its perigee, the point of its orbit when it is closest to @NASAEarth. The closest full Moon will happen on New Year's Day! https://t.co/QNtuBQiBtM pic.twitter.com/uOM3TbqzuP
