HIP-hop artist Rat Boy has announced a gig a Wales as part of a UK-wide tour.

Following his debut album Scum, the artist will play Cardiff's Tramshed on February 5, 2018.

Rat Boy - or Jordan Cardy - explores themes of his and his friends’ experiences growing up disillusioned in suburban Essex. While the album is united by such concepts, musically Rat Boy jumps at will between hip-hop, punk, indie anthems, gospel, big beat and bossa nova like the Beastie Boys for the Brexit generation.

Previously winner of Best New Artist at the NME Awards, recent months have seen Rat Boy hit a number of notable career highlights. He was sampled on Kendrick Lamar’s huge album ‘Damn.’, sold-out London’s historic Roundhouse and contributed music to Aminé’s film ‘Becoming Aminé’ alongside Tyler, The Creator.

“Cardy is the anarchic voice of his generation.” – Evening Standard
