A BRIDAL party is appealing for help to clear the paths to a Monmouthshire wedding venue ahead of the big day tomorrow.

The wedding on Saturday is in jeopardy with snow covering the B4293 between Monmouth and Caer Llan in Lydart.

Some of the guests were due to book into the venue this afternoon but there are concerns that surrounding roads are impassable.

A bridesmaid is calling for any local farmers or residents with 4x4 to help clear the road into the venue in a bid for the wedding to go ahead.

A spokeswoman for Caer Llan told the Argus that staff are working tirelessly to prepare the venue for the wedding.

"We have gritted our drive and the car-park is being cleared," she said.

"Our chefs are here cooking so as far as we know everything is in place on our end, we just don't know what the roads look like on the way in."

Anyone who can help is urged to contact Monmouthshire County Council.
