Frog Bikes established its manufacturing base at Mamhilad Park Estate, near Pontypool, in August 2016 and has gone from strength to strength with production contining to ramp up.

Rather than apply conventional thinking to its design of children’s bicycles, Frog Bikes created a lighter bike which makes it easier for children to learn and enjoy riding.

Frog Bikes' founder Jerry Lawson said: "Having only launched Frog Bikes in the US a year ago, we are absolutely thrilled to be working with USA Cycling.

"We have a lot of respect for what USA Cycling has achieved for the sport and are proud to be working alongside them. Our goal has always been to make cycling more accessible and get more kids on bikes. This partnership will allow us to do just that and more."

USA Cycling’s chief marketing and sales officer Fuad Hamza said: "We are excited to partner with Frog Bikes to introduce their innovative kids’ bike design to the United States cycling community. A core component of USA Cycling’s mission is to develop the sport of cycling at all levels. We believe that this new relationship with Frog Bikes will encourage more families to get involved in cycling and grow the sport.”

Councillor Alan Jones, executive member for business, culture, leisure and tourism at Torfaen County Borough Council, said “This is very exciting news for one of Torfaen’s newest manufacturers and I am delighted for them. I wish them all the success in their partnership with USA Cycling. Torfaen is a natural home for the manufacturing sector and we are proud of the local facilities and workforce here.”
