A GRADE II listed church with planning for conversion into a property could be your s next month.

The former St Mary’s Church, in Whitson near Newport, is being sold by Paul Fosh Auctions.

The church, which is derelict inside, comes with planning for it conversation into a residential building.

The planning will allow a property with an open plan living area, kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor, as well as further accommodation within the tower.

It is listed with a guide price of £110,000.

Sean Roper, of Newport-based Paul Fosh Auctions, said: “The church is in the Village of Whitson which is situated on the Caldicot Levels where there are a number of farmsteads and houses.

"The unique property is close to the sea wall and the Severn Estuary. The city of Newport is approximately 7 km away with its wide range of amenities and shopping facilities including the Friars Walk Shopping Centre."

The auction will take place at The Park Inn Hotel, Cardiff, on Thursday, May 3.
