POLICE officers in Cwmbran are reminding residents to lock doors and windows of a night time following a number of burglaries in the area.
In November the Argus reported that burglars are stealing gold from "specifically targeted" homes in Newport and Cwmbran.
Gwent Police urged residents to keep any valuable items in a safe deposit box or bank - if this is not possible, a safe secured to wall or floor which complies with official insurance standards is another option.
If anyone has any information regarding the recent spate of burglaries, Police have asked poeple to contact them on 101 or email contact@gwent.pnn.police.uk.
