THREE people have been charged following an incident in Newport.
An incident in Maesglas Crescent was reported to Gwent Police on May 1.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "Two men and a woman have been charged and appeared before the court today.
"A 24-year-old man from Newport has been charged section 18 wounding with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious substance.
"A 20-year-old man from Newport has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent, possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious substance, possessing a bladed object in a public place and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
"A 19-year-old man from Newport has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent, possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious substance, possessing a bladed object in a public place and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place."
They will next appear in Newport Crown Court on May 31.
