IT is nearly Age Positive Week, and Age Cymru want to know how you plan to celebrate.

Age Positive Week is taking place between September 30 and October 7, coinciding with UN International Day of Older Persons on October 1,

The week aims to celebrate everything positive about ageing in Wales, and is hosted by charity Age Cymru, which was formed in 2009.

Events planned by the charity include: recognising the contributions made to Welsh life by retired police officers on September 29, Nordic Walks in Cardiff Bay and Llanelli on October 2, and a special event at the National Assembly for Wales that focuses on transforming social care and combatting isolation and loneliness on October 4.

They want to hear if you, or your community, have an Age Positive event planned. This can be anything from a tea party, trip to the beach, or a cultural celebration.

To let Age Cymru know about your event, so they can include it on their events calendar, you can phone them on 029 2043 1555 or visit their website: www.agecymru.org.uk/agepositiveweek
