A CHARITY that raises awareness of lung disease pulmonary fibrosis is hosting a fundraising coffee and cake afternoon at Parc Golf Club, Coedkernew, Newport, on Saturday, September 22.
The event, from 2pm, coincides with Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Week. There will be a raffle, and details of a rugby ball signed by 1960s Welsh legends, to be auctioned later this year.
Pulmonary fibrosis is a debilitating, incurable disease. Lung tissue thickens, stiffens and scars over time, making it more difficult to breathe, and for the lungs to move oxygen into the bloodstream.
Pulmonary Fibrosis Wales is run by, and for, patients and their families. Its support group meets on the first Tuesday of every other month. For details, e-mail info@pulmonaryfibrosiswales.co.uk
