COMMUTERS endured congestion on the M4 this morning after multiple crashes.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: "There were three minor road traffic collisions on the M4 this morning.
"All were minor and non-injury RTCs. There was a small amount of disruption for other road users but no closures were in place.
"Traffic remains heavy on the M4 and Gwent Police would urge drivers to consider the road conditions, adapt their speed and distance between the cars around them appropriately."
As people try to avoid the M4 delays are being reported on the SDR in Newport.
A crash has also been reported on Town Bridge in Newport which is causing extra delays.

As a yellow weather warning is in place the region's roads are dealing with extra traffic.
There are also restrictions in place on the M48 Severn Bridge westbound between junction 1 A403 and junction 2 A466 due to strong winds.
All traffic is coming off, around the roundabouts at junction 1 or 2 and then back on to the motorway to cross the bridge.
This is in case the bridge needs to be closed quickly if the cross winds get worse.
