A RISCA businessman has been nominated for an award hosted by a top banking firm.
Nick Parsons-Young, who is the managing director of West Environmental Services Ltd, recently found out he had been nominated for Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year award hosted by Natwest.
The award will be awarded to the "entrepreneur/entrepreneurs leading and excelling within a family business".
He said: "I am feeling very overwhelmed about getting chosen out of 3000 applications that had been sent in as well as mine. I am keeping my hopes up for the day of the results but I am already over to moon to be shortlisted. Family businesses have sometimes been considered incompatible to entrepreneurship because they are usually tradition-bound."
The ceremony will take place at the Mercure Hotel on November 22.
