A WEEKEND of art is set to return to the city in November following the success of the inaugural event.
Art on the Hill is an innovative art event that was first held in November 2017 with the aim of celebrating the creativity Newport has to offer.
Last year more than 20 venues and 50 artists were involved and the weekend-long event featured open houses, individual events and exhibitions.
There was a trail of music, painting, performance and other artwork across the NP20 area of Newport.
Fans of the event will be happy to hear that it is returning to the city from November 23 to 25 thanks to artists Sarah Goodey and Kate Mercer .
“We are really excited to be doing it again,” Ms Goodey said.
“We have been talking to venues and artists about what they would like to do and we are hoping to welcome new venues into the project this year.”
More information about what will be happening as part of Art on the Hill will be released in the coming week.
Artists, organisations and venues can still be part of the event by contacting the organisers at artonthehillnewport@gmail.com. For more information visit facebook.com/AOTH.NP20.
