THE dog of the week this week is Lacey.
She is a very pretty crossbreed, and poor Lacey is the longest-term dog at Newport City Dogs Home.
Lacey arrived as a stray in July, and she has watched many of her kennel buddies leaving for their forever home. But for reasons that are hard to fathom Lacey is still waiting to meet her perfect forever family.
It is commonly known in rescue and rehoming centres that black dogs and black cats are less popular with potential re-homers
Every dog has it’s day, so the saying goes. Lacey is hoping that her day will come soon. She has been waiting patiently for far too long.
For more information or if you would like to meet Lacey and her kennel friends at Newport City Dogs Home please contact the centre on 01633 290902, or pop in. The Centre opens at 11 am - no appointment needed! You can also view all the dogs for rehoming on the volunteers Facebook Group, search for ‘Opt to Adopt NCDH’.
