Victoria Burgess, 27, of Melfort Road, Newport, was filmed beating her victim to the ground before sitting on top of her and biting through her ear in a drunken attack at Yummies kebab house in Newport city centre on April 6 this year.
At her sentencing today, Newport Crown Court was shown the graphic footage below, although Judge Daniel Williams paused to allow anyone who did not wish to view it to leave the court.
As the video played, Burgess held her head in her hands and cried in the dock.

Prosecutors told the court the severed ear was put in the fridge at the kebab house and later re-attached.
The victim later went on to have 48-hour leech therapy in an attempt to save her ear.
She added that she had suffered severely with depression and anxiety since the attack which had "completely changed her life."
Burgess, a former South Wales Argus employee, was jailed for four-and-a-half years.
She had previously pleaded guilty to wounding with intent.
