THIS year's V Awards ceremony attracted more than 550 guests to The Neon, on Clarence Place.

Some of the winners, in various categories, included: Hairplay salon, make-up artist Megan Goodchild, Evolve Fit, health care professional Malmo Hearing, West Usk Lighthouse, George Street Furnishers, WT Laminates, teacher Marek Anthony, Smart Education, Parc Pantry, The Gate, Tin Shed Theatre's Moby Dick, Newport City Radio and Monmouthshire Youth Pride.

The proceeds of the event go to St David's Hospice, with this year's ceremony raising £5151.58.
