WING Jared Rosser is back in contention for the Dragons’ European Challenge Cup clash with Northampton at Rodney Parade on Friday.

The 20-year-old from Pontypool missed the opening weekend win against Timisoara Saracens in Romania after a concussion suffered in the derby defeat to Cardiff Blues.

Rosser, whose absence meant centre Adam Warren moved to the wing, has been declared fit along with lock Rynard Landman, who missed the last fortnight of action.

However, centre Jack Dixon remains sidelined with a shoulder injury while Brandon Nansen is out with concussion and his fellow lock Joe Davies has a shoulder problem.

Harrison Keddie is nearing a return from his summer bicep injury, with a target of next week’s Guinness PRO14 clash with Ulster, but his fellow back row forward James Sheekey needs a wrist operation.

James Benjamin, who has been playing centre rather than his usual position in the back row, has suffered an Achilles injury with the damage yet to be assessed while fly-half Gavin Henson’s knee injury is said to be slowly improving.

Wales wing Hallam Amos (elbow), fellow speedster Ashton Hewitt (shoulder) and fly-half Arwel Robson (ankle) are all still sidelined.
