THE CEREMONY for South Wales Argus' Health & Care Awards 2018 is finally here.
The awards ceremony will take place tonight, from 7pm, at Chepstow Racecourse, on St Lawrence Road. Guests will enjoy a drinks reception and meal, before the awards are presented from 9.15pm
Finalists will find out if they have won in twelve categories, which include: Together we Achieve, sponsored by Monmouthshire Building Society; Research Impact Award, sponsored by Bevan Commission; Innovative Care in the Care Home Sector, sponsored by Royal College of Nursing; Best Innovation Award, sponsored by Freemasons of Monmouthshire; Pharmacy of the Year, sponsored by the South Wales Argus; GP Practice of the Year, sponsored by Tovey Bros; 3rd Sector or Community Team of the Year, sponsored by the Monmouthshire Building Society; Team of the Year, sponsored by Coleg Gwent Business; Volunteer of the Year, and Special Recognition Nursing Award, both sponsored by Western Power Distribution; Doctor of the Year, sponsored by St John’s College; and Outstanding Achievement Award, sponsored by the title sponsors, Rutherford Cancer Centre South Wales and St Joseph’s.
The evening will be hosted by Rob Stokes, and will also feature guest speaker, Dr Pixie McKenna, who is the UK's leading female media medic, and has featured on Channel 4's programme, Embarrassing Bodies.
