A MAN has been arrested following reports of an alleged stabbing in Caerphilly yesterday afternoon.
The Welsh Air Ambulance scrambled a helicopter to help the suspected victim, a man in his early 30s.
A Welsh Ambulance Services spokesman said the air ambulance crew treated the man as he was taken to Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales by road in an ambulance.
Gwent Police confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening and he has since been released from hospital.
A spokesman said: “We are currently investigating a serious incident that took place in Mill Road, Caerphilly, on October 20.”
He added that a man, also in his early 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing wounding with intent and that officers are also looking for two other suspects.
The Welsh Ambulance Services spokesman said that they were called to the scene at 2.35pm following reports of a stabbing.
Two rapid response vehicles attended.
