CAERPHILLY county borough residents are being encouraged to look in to their ancestry with the weekly Family History Club at Newbridge Library.

Operating since 2012, this club helps people throughout the Caerphilly county borough trace their family history through Ancestry or Find My Past.

There are a number of advisors on hand to help support and guide people to use these free sites or to answer any questions.

In recognition of the groups’ success, the club won a Caerphilly Learning Group of the Year trophy at a special presentation evening at Llancaiach Fawr Manor in 2014.

The trophy is proudly on display in Newbridge Library.

This friendly relaxed group meets every Thursday from 10am to 12pm. There is usually a short break at 11am for members to enjoy a drink and a chat. If you would like to come along, just turn up on the day.
