A PRISONER is to go on trial accused of possessing class A, B and C drugs with intent to supply at Monmouthshire’s Prescoed open jail.
James Roberts, 31, now of Parc Prison, Bridgend, appeared before Newport Crown Court to deny possessing morphine, dihydrocodeine and tramadol with intent to supply.
He pleaded guilty to possessing the drugs on February 1, 2018.
The prosecutor in the hearing was Emma Harris and the defendant was represented by Jonathan Elystan Rees.
Judge Daniel Williams set a trial date of January 22, 2019 and remanded Roberts in custody.
