IN CELEBRATION of 40 years since the original musical, a theatrical production is coming to Newport for four nights only.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Evita first opened in London's Prince Edward Theatre. Since then it has been on Broadway, toured the UK and even been adapted into a Hollywood film.

CentreStage Cymru is now bringing the production to Newport's Dolman Theatre, from October 24, until October 27.

CentreStage Cymru ensemble member, Fiona Davies, said: "If you say the musical, Evita, everybody knows it and recognises it.

"Evita is such a fantastic show, with unbelievable music and an incredible legacy. We are really lucky to do it as a society and it shows the best of what we can do."

The production will feature Sharon Higgins as Eva, Chris Davis as Che, and Jordan Archer as Peron.

Performances start at 7.15pm each evening, and tickets are £12.50 each, with the final performance on Saturday.

You can book tickets over the phone at: 01633 263670, or through the venue's website: www.dolmantheatre.co.uk
