A NEWPORT firm is celebrating after scooping a prestigious Master Builder of the Year Award.
ELM Construction Gwent Limited took the prize for Best Commercial Build in Wales in the awards, run by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) to find the best builders in Britain.
A firm's technical ability and customer service skills are the key to success and every entrant must be nominated by a satisfied customer.
The company beat hundreds of other firms in Wales and will now compete in the national finals in November.
Geoff Bridgeman, director of FMB Wales said the firm has done "a fantastic job to win the Welsh award" and we wish them well in the national competition."
"The Master Builder of the Year Awards give customers a chance to thank their builder for a job well done," he said.
"The majority of builders are hardworking, friendly and extremely skilled craftsmen, so we want to reward these companies and prove that building work in Wales surpasses the rest."
