IT'S great to see another huge investment in Newport with the opening of the £10 million Warburtons factory in Rogerstone.
More than 200 jobs have been created at the new plant which formed after the company outgrew its premises in Treforest, Pontypridd.
It will produce some 150,000 loaves of bread and fruit loaves 356 days of the year to send to shops across South Wales and Bristol.
Bosses there, as at so many other companies, saw Newport's many attractions for business including its location and the regeneration going on within the city.
Newport has attracted huge investment in recent years from companies such as Quinn Radiators and from government relocations like the Prison Service.
It means the city's economy will become more successful in the coming years, people have job security and Newport will continue to thrive as a place where people want to work and live.
