MORE than 20 firefighters tackled a blaze at a turkey farm near Abergavenny in the early hours of this morning.
The fire service was called to Brynrhydderch Farm in Penpergwm just before 4am, where a shed containing turkeys was on fire.
It took 22 firefighters using four appliances more than two hours to bring the blaze under control, including four in breathing apparatus who entered the shed.
Firefighters protected other buildings on the farm and helped evacuate other livestock.
The cause of the fire is being treated as accidental.
