Finally I have three moments to pen another bit of drivel for the local rag (not my local rag tho') I should probably say "dribble" instead of drivel as that is what Aston is producing in profuse quantities now he's starting to teeth.

All is well in Maple Land - Aston is growing fast, I am adjusting slowly and Autumn is upon us. For those of you who know, autumn in this part of the world is glorious - blue skies, warm days, cool nights and a riot of colour from the Maple trees. I adore Autumn, even though it means Winter is just around the corner (and this year it will be even more of a challenge than usual). The weather men were not sure how the "fall colour" would be this year as we have had an incredibly dry summer but in my neck of the woods, its just peachy. Literally. The trees are alive with pinks, oranges, peaches, raspberry reds, bright yellows and green. I haven't yet got any pictures but I intend to later this week if I can.

The crickets are still buzzing and this is all against the backdrop of ripening pumpkins and the wind up for Thanksgiving and Halloween.

Going back to the boy for a moment, we're still crossing off the firsts.first wedding (actually our first Canadian wedding too), first Fall Fair, first jabs(ouch), first time wearing shoes and a jumper, first time sleeping for 7 hours in a row (yippee) and on the list goes. Right now we're having "first time I've fallen asleep and stayed asleep for more than 10 minutes when Im probably hungry". I think sleep won the battle over hunger today as yesterday it was the complete opposite.

On that note I'd better take advantage of the peace and do some well deserved web surfing before Im called back to my motherly duties. Sorry its been forever since the last post - hope it won't be so long next time.
