IT HAS been a Spooktacular Hallowe’en, but now it’s time to celebrate bonfire night, with plenty of celebrations throughout Gwent.

- Caerleon AFC are hosting their display two days early, on Saturday, November 3. The doors will open at 5.30pm, with the display at 7.30pm, although guests will not be given entry after 7.15pm. Kings of Caerleon will perform on the evening, with food and drinks on offer. This is £4 for adults, £2 for children.

- The Celtic Manor are also hosting their display, sponsored by Fruit Shoot, on November 3. The doors open at 4.30pm, with the Fireworks Spectacular starting at 6pm. There will be entertainment, live music, funfair rides, and a bar. You must pay in advance for this, at £11 for adults and £7 for children.

- In Chepstow, there will be a free firework display, thanks to funding from Chepstow Town Council and other sponsors. The Round Table Chepstow Community will be on November 4, at Chepstow School. There will be family fun from 3pm, including fair rides and live music and entertainment, by The Brothers Blue, Kre8tive Kids, Velda

Bataria Samba Band, Sarah’s Sidekicks line dancers and local music groups. As usual there will be a special firework display for very young children who may get scared by loud bangs, followed by the main display. This is a free entry event, but donations to the Round Table are welcome.

- Unfortunately, this year there will be no display at Rodney Parade, due to the new pitch. There will be a display, on November 4, at Tredegar Park Golf Club. The exciting display will be presented by Cwmbran based company, Pendragon Fireworks and Pyrotechnics, with gates open from 6pm and the display starting at 7pm. There will be burgers and hot dogs for sale, with entry £15 per car. To find out more, call: 01633 894 433 and select option 4.

- Caldicot Castle will once again dazzle guests with their display, on November 4. The gates open at 4.30pm, with the 20-minute display starting at 7pm. The fireworks will be launched from within the castle, with guests viewing from the main castle green. Tickets must be pre-ordered, and are £7.50 for adults and £4.50 for under 18s.

- On November 5, Pontypool Round Table will host their fireworks display at Pontypool Park. There will be a short children’s display before the main display, which will be synchronised to Disney and Dreamworks music. The gates are open from 5.30pm, with the main display at 7pm. Sparklers are not allowed on the rugby pitch, but there will be free glow sticks for children, whilst stocks last. It is pay on the door, costing £3 for children aged 3-15, £5 for adults, £15 for a family (three children and two adults). It’s free for children under the age of 3.

 - Bargoed will host a free display on November 5, hosted by the town council. The event, as Hanbury Road car park, starts at 6pm, with the display kicking off at 6.30pm. Food and rides for children will be available.

 - Eugene Cross Park, in Ebbw Vale, will host their display on November 5, with gates open at 6pm and the magic happening at 7pm. Tickets are £3 in advance, £10 for a family ticket (two adults and two children) or £4 on the door.

 - Tredegar Round Table’s display, will be at the Recreation Ground. Gates open 6pm, with a dazzling display from 7pm. £4 for adults, £3 for children, or £12 for family of four.
