POLICE were called to reports of a person standing on the wrong side of the barrier on the Millennium Footbridge in Newport this afternoon.
Pictures from the scene show the person standing on the metal structure of the bridge over the River Usk.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: "At approximately 1pm on Monday, November 5, 2018 we received a report of concern for a person’s safety on Millennium Footbridge on Usk Way in Newport.
"Officers attended the scene and the person is now safely on the correct side of the bridge."
