A NON-PROFIT music club will receive a grant for £500 from the Grants to Voluntary Organisations Committee.
Borough Blues Club, founded in 2005, is based in Cwmbran RFC, and hosts regular live music events, with the money generated going back into the club.
Two club members have been invited to the Community Awards and Grants Presentation Evening, on November 22, at The Council House in Cwmbran.
Club member, Mike Le-Poidevin, said: “The money will be used to further the club.
“We are a non-profit organisation, so if not enough guests come to one of our events we actually lose money. No one here is paid, as all the money from gigs goes back into the Borough Clues Club.”
The next musical event at Borough Blues Club, in Cwmbran RFC, will be on December 8 and feature the lively Built For Comfort, with hot Chicago rhythm and blues.
