BOGUS news! Former Cawood CC cricketer, Cawood FC footballer and Bogus Brothers singer Andy Atkinson returns to the village on November 10 to play The Jolly Sailor pub with his band Acko Pulco and The Cliff Divers.
Andy fronted the Bogus lads for more than a decade, touring Britain and Europe and, among other activities, he is now BBC Radio York's commentator for the York Knights' Rugby League matches.
"The Cliff Divers will be playing our usual repertoire of Tex-Mex-flavoured material with a leaning towards The Mavericks but with a smattering of Elvis, Los Lobos and plenty of uptempo dance tunes, including an old Bogus tune or two," he says.
"The Jolly Sailor will be our only gig between now and late January due to band members' other commitments, including Malaysian drummer Hairul Hasnan returning home to get hitched, so don't miss this show. We'll be on just after 8pm and there's no admission charge."
