THE QUEEN of folk music is teaming up with a Carnival Band for a unique festive show, with a Welsh date lined up.
Maddy Prior & the Carnival Band are performing their show Carols & Capers throughout the festive season, mixing renaissance, modern and ethnic instruments with a refreshing cavalier attitude and humor.
This tradition dates back to 1984, with all involved coming up with new ideas each year, but none have endured the test of time more than the Christmas carol.
The group plan to put the best of these on one album, featuring the very best of these carols, all presented in a unique style, but nothing is quite as spectacular as a live performance by the gang.
Carols & Capers is coming to Abergavenny's Borough Theatre on December 5. It starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are £22.50.
