A VICTORIAN Christmas Fair brimming with festive fun is taking over an entire building.

Fourteen Locks Canal Centre and Café is hosting a Christmas Fair, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, on Friday, November 16.

All five rooms of the building, including the Café, will offer a selection of quirky crafts, sweets and treats, and perfect presents.

There will also be books for sale, with authors present to discuss their work and sign copies.

Authors at the fair include: Catherine Fisher with her latest book, The Clockwork Crow (2018); Andrew Hemmings with his book, Secret Newport (2017); and David Swattridge with his latest book, The Lazarus Pool (2017).

Manager of the Centre, Kate Wickens, said: “We hosted a Christmas fair for the first-time last year and it was super successful. This year we’ve had to turn down a few traders, because there just isn’t enough room.”

This festive fair is a rare opportunity to see the venue at night, and will give shoppers the chance to get a head-start on their Christmas shopping.

Although the Café will be occupied with stalls, there will be festive finger food dished up for guests to enjoy, along with non-alcoholic mulled wine.

All sales will help support the local community and The Fourteen Locks Canal Centre, which is run by the Mon and Brec Canals Trust.

There is no entry fee or need to pre-book, but if you need any more information you can find the venue on Facebook: @fourteenlockscanalcentre
