THREE men have denied murdering a man who was found dead at his Gwent flat.

Ieuan Harley, 23, of Punch House Flats, Morgan Street, Tredegar, Darren Evesham, 47, of Powell's Terrace, New Tredegar, and David Osbourne, 51, of Long Row, New Tredegar, have pleaded not guilty to murdering David Gaut, 54.

The trio denied the charges during a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court.

Mr Gaut was found dead at his flat in Long Row in New Tredegar at around 3pm on Saturday, August 4.

The Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Eleri Rees set a trial date to start on January 16, 2019.

The trial is expected to last four weeks.

Harley, Evesham and Osbourne were remanded in custody.
