THE Dragon’s Choir gave a poignant rendition of the popular Welsh Hymn Calon Lan at St Woolos Cathedral’s First World War Centenary Commemoration event.
The choir was one of many that entertained what was thought by organisers to be around 1,000 visitors.
One of the event organisers, Peter Strong, said he was bowled over by the turnout, and thanked everyone who had contributed to making it happen.
The commemoration lasted from 11am to 4.30pm today (Saturday, November 10) at St Woolos Cathedral, Newport.
