THERE are just two days left to submit your entries for our Gwent's Prettiest Pets competition.

The competition has two prizes up for grabs, with one chosen through a judging panel and the other one selected through a public vote.

Both winners will get a painted pet portrait, worth £170, by Welsh artist Christopher Langley, who will be on the judging panel.

Last year, the public vote favoured Celli, who was entered by Emily Boshein from Cwmbran, with the judging panel choosing Bailey, an 11-year-old ragdoll, sent by Sylvia Briffett from Rogerstone.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday, November 15.

When submitting a photo please include your name, address, daytime telephone number, and your pet's name.

This can be done by emailing: newsdesk@southwalesargus.co.uk

Alternatively, submissions can be posted to: Pretty Pet Portrait Competition, Newsdesk, South Wales Argus, Cardiff Road, Maesglas, Newport NP20 3QN.

Entry is free, so you'd be barking mad not to enter.

Please note that hard copies of photos will not be returned, and the decision of the judging panel is final.
