SINGALONG: On Sunday, September 16, I sat with the congregation of 40 people at St David Lewis RC Church, Monnow Way, for an afternoon of singalong with soprano Suzan Glennon, and baritone Michael, accompanied by Richard on the Technics organ.
It was a wonderful hour of easy-going singing with the help of Suzan, Michael and Richard. Also present were the priest and canon of the church and St David's, Yeo Close.Suzan informed me that the next singalong will be on Sunday, December 9, at 4pm, entry by ticket.
QUIZ: Following my story last week concerning the deep pits surrounding Bettws, it also gave the answer to the Breezer Quiz, what was being worked?
The correct answer came from John Campbell of Monnow Way, Bettws, who stated that it was to replace gas valves and isolators. Well done to him.
The quiz this week is for sports fans: Q: Which famous boxer, rugby player, footballer, all three visited Bettws between 1985 and 1993?
