CHANGES to waste and recycling collections will be implemented over the festive period.

Between Christmas Eve (Monday, December 24) and Monday, December 31, collections will be 'as normal' in Denbighshire.

On Christmas Day; Boxing Day; Thursday, December 27 and Friday, December 28, collections will take place a day later than scheduled.

Teams will work on the Saturday to catch up with collections.

Collections on New Year's Day; Wednesday, January 2, Thursday, January 3 and Friday, January 4 will all take place a day later than scheduled. Teams, again, will work on Saturday to catch up with collections.

Normal service will resume on Monday, January 7.

Permanent Recycling Park facilities at Denbigh, Rhyl and Ruthin, will be open to the public as normal every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Winter opening hours are:

Denbigh and Ruthin - Monday to Friday, 10am until 4pm. Weekend, 9am until 4pm.

Rhyl, everyday between 10am and 6pm.

Recycling at Corwen and Llangollen: Saturday recycling services at the Pavilion Car-Park, Llangollen will take place as normal on Saturday, December 22.

There will be no Saturday morning services on December 29 or January 5 2019. Staff and vehicles will be working elsewhere due to the revised recycling and refuse collection schedule.

Saturday recycling services will recommence as normal at Corwen on January 19 between 9am and 11am and at Llangollen on January 12 between 9am and 11am.

Businesses services from Denbighshire County Council will follow the same unaltered pattern as the household services - as above.

Subscribers to the garden waste collection service are reminded that collections will take place over the holiday period.
