A Prestatyn scout has collected donations to make sure those less fortunate have a meal this Christmas.
Lily Pollard, 12, from the 3rd Prestatyn Scout Group has been gathering donations to pass on to the Prestatyn and Meliden food bank as she works towards one of her challenge badges.
She has been collecting items for the past few weeks and has managed to gather enough to make up five hampers.
Her mother Emily Nichols said she was very proud of her 12-year-old daughter and what she has managed to achieve.
She said: "We are very proud of her. She did it all off her own back. We asked her what she wanted for Christmas and she said I just want to get food donations for food banks to help those less fortunate have a Christmas dinner this year."
Lily said she would like to thank everyone for their generosity and fantastic response to this well deserved cause.
