In a statement Gwent Police said: "At approximately 7.30am on Tuesday, January 8 2019, we received reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the A466 southbound in Chepstow, heading towards the M48.
"A white Peugeot 208, silver Mazda 3 and white Hyundai i30 were involved. One person was taken to hospital by ambulance after suffering minor injuries. The southbound carriageway was closed following the collision, and reopened fully at approximately 9.05am."

A SPOKESMAN from Gwent Police said: "At approximately 7.30am on Tuesday, January 8, Gwent Police received a report of a three car road traffic collision on the A466 near Chepstow.
"A white Peugeot 208, a silver Mazda 3 and a white Hyundai i30 were involved. No serious injuries have been reported.
"The road is currently closed and diversions are currently in place."

A MULTI-VEHICLE crash has closed a road near Chepstow.
It is understood that the incident involved three vehicles on the A466 at Chepstow.
The road is closed and diversions are in place which may cause congestion.
