A SEX offender is to discover his fate next month after pleading guilty to seven charges – including two against children.
Tony Newton, aged 34, of Upper Arail Street, Six Bells, Abertillery, admitted five counts of sexual assault and two of sexual assault against a child under the age of 13.
There were three victims.
He pleaded guilty before his trial was due to start at Newport Crown Court.
The prosecutor in the case was John Ryan and Newton was defended by Eugene Egan.
Judge Daniel Williams adjourned sentencing for three weeks so that a pre-sentence report could be prepared by the Probation Service.
Newton is due to be sentenced on February 4 and was granted conditional bail.
