A SECTION of Corporation Road in Newport has been closed while Gwent Police deal with an incident.
The area between Magor Street and Marshfield Street is currently closed.
Witnesses have described the incident as a "hit and run" in which a man was hit by a car.
The police have asked motorists to find alternative routes for their journeys.

In other traffic news, there are reports of slow traffic and congestion as traffic officers attend to a broken-down lorry on the M4.
