AN EARLY hours assault on a woman by an unknown man has prompted a police appeal for information.
The incident occurred between midnight and 1am, near Brynglas Road and Bryn Bevan in Newport, on Monday January 14.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was walking through the area when she was approached by the man.

In a statement, Gwent Police said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area, either on foot or in a vehicle, during the specified timeframe – and who may have seen anything which could aid the investigation – to come forward."
