A SERIES of thefts in the area are being investigated across Gwent.

The most recent occurred last night, at approximately 11pm, when Broadwell Farm, in Crick, Monmouthshire, was broken into.

The occupiers heard a male and female, with a vehicle seen leaving the area.

But it was too dark to determine what car it was.

Meanwhile, on Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning a stable yard, in Whitson Road, Newport, was broken into.

The culprits forced or smashed locks off the stable doors to gain access, but it appears nothing was stolen on this occasion.

And, at some point between Friday and Monday there were several thefts from Coedkernew, in Newport.

Those responsible caused damage to three vans, stealing three catalytic converters which are worth approximately £1,500 each.
