The occupiers heard a male and female, with a vehicle seen leaving the area.

But it was too dark to determine what car it was.

Meanwhile, on Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning a stable yard, in Whitson Road, Newport, was broken into.

The culprits forced or smashed locks off the stable doors to gain access, but it appears nothing was stolen on this occasion.
