SPECIALIST rescue teams were scrambled last night to find and rescue a person who fell from quarry cliffs.
Chepstow coastguard sent a helicopter to evacuate the patient from Woodcroft Quarry, near Chepstow at around 8pm last night (January 25).
The condition of the patient is unknown at this point, but aircraft tracking software indicates they were airlifted to Southmead hospital in Bristol.

The Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) team at Beachley confirmed on their Facebook page that they were called in by Gloucestershire Constabulary to help find a person who had fallen from the quarry cliffs.

SARA’s update added that the Hazardous Area Rescue Team (HART) ambulance service, Gloucester Fire and Rescue Service and Chepstow Coastguard were also involved in the rescue.
South Gloucestershire Constabulary, Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and Chepstow Coastguard have all been contacted for information.
