PUB ROCK icons Dr Feelgood can’t wait to step on stage at Newport’s family-friendly festival.

Dr Feelgood will be on stage at Portstock 2019, at Rodney Parade, which is in aid of St David’s Hospice Care.

Following a hugely successful debut in 2018, Portstock will return for it’s second year on Saturday, June 22, from 12pm, and will feature a number of great musical acts, including Dr Feelgood.

Kevin Morris, drummer for Dr Feelgood, said: “It will be great to be back in Newport to support such a great charity and we hope to see many old friends.

“We have played Newport many times, we used to play at the Kings Hotel and also at the leisure centre.”

Despite going through a number of personnel changes, Dr Feelgood have been touring and recording since 1971.

Mr Morris added: “We have been incredibly lucky as a band to have had such a long and enduring career despite changes to the line-up. The fans have stuck with us and we are very thankful to them.

“We will play all the favourite songs from our song book plus a few new ones.

“We hope to make the show a memorable one for all that attend and greatly look forward to it.”

Funds raised from this fun festival will go to St David’s Hospice Care, based in Newport, which prides itself on “bringing care home.”
