THE Met Office has warned snow and ice on Thursday and Friday could bring 'disruption' to parts of England and Wales.

An Amber weather warning has been issued for Gwent, lasting from 1pm to 9pm today (Thursday). An overlapping yellow warning for snow and ice is still in place until 1pm tomorrow (Friday).

Motorists can expect delays on roads, with wintry conditions stranding some vehicles and passengers.

And the Met Office suggests there could be delays or cancellations on the horizon for rail and air passengers.

Temperatures in Wales dropped as low as -9C in parts of Wales last night.
