VOLUNTEERS and Play workers from Torfaen Play Service have braved the snow this morning to clear paths and roads to a nursing home in Abersychan.

Play Service staff cleared and gritted the road and pathways to the Ty Bryn Nursing Home in Brynteg, Abersychan.

The team worked hard as a team to ensure that the routes were clear for any medical vehicles, staff or ambulances that may need to access the home in the snowy weather.

"It's great to help the community." said volunteer Cerys Cawkwell.

Play worker Daniel Biggs added: "Like our motto says, whatever the weather, the play team will always support the communities."
